Kite circuit sword(possibly a cheap clone) won't boot

Well, this is embarrassing. I bought what is supposed to be a circuit sword, all the bits and bobs, assembled it, ran the start up procedure(step 11 in the process) and all I get are status lights and a black screen

Can you post a picture of the board? We generally do not give support for clones but it will be up to Kite to decide.

The board is currently assembled in a boxy pixel case but I do have some pics
