... well lesson learned.. no sneezing while working with a blade near delicate items.
While trimming the 640x480 HD LCD that I purchased as an add on I sliced the right most lead on the ribbon cable. Is this recoverable? Only option I'm seeing is ribbon cable repair which is not easy. At least the lead is separated from all the rest which would make it marginally easier should I have to go that route.

What does the screen show when you configure it all up to work?

I've not yet hooked it up. Didn't want to accidentally cause more problems since I wasn't sure what that lead was for. I'll hook everything up this weekend and give it a test and get back to you.

Yeah I have no idea what signal it is.. with any luck it's something not important but will have to wait and see..

Yep, doesn't even turn on. I'll see if I can buddy up to someone in the labs at work to see if they can attempt a repair. Otherwise I might just order another from you. Using the lower res screen for now since that works perfectly fine.

Aww man, that's harsh. I wonder if since it's so close to the edge, would it be possible to just cut the whole ribbon at that point and resurface the contacts? Would be a shorter cable for sure, but curious if it would work.

It would be worth a try. But it takes a lot of time which I don't have. ;(
