Mode Button seems to be always pressed

Post by ZeroSebastian » Fri Jun 08, 2018 9:19 am

Hello Guys!
I recently got a Super AIO V0.5E1. I followed the guide and everything seems to work fine. I have a blank retropie v4.4 for zero installed. The pi boots, every LED lights as it should but the Mode Button seems to be „damaged“. Whenever I press A or B the wifi sets on or off, without touching the Mode Button. I also tried several buttons and reflashing the software to the atmega without any effect.
There are not any shorts, I measured that.
What else can I do?

Thank you all in advance!

Hi is this how you are testing it? You have emailed me stating you updated the code to move which is the mode button.. can I suggest the following:

1. Put code back to 'stock'
2. Solder the rest of the GPIO pins

The GPIO pins do affect the mode button and the power switch, and it will most likely act like the mode is held down because it uses ones of the signals on there to help it. Also I suggest testing with one of the pre-made images for the SAIO to start with, because that features a 'test mode' which will be able to help out! Only once that is working should you consider trying to go to 4.4 etc..
