Does Joy2 (SAIO) need to be activated?

Post by starmagoo » Fri Aug 03, 2018 12:48 pm

I want to activate the Joy2 and when I measure with a multimeter 3.3 volts are applied. I have tested 2 PS Vita 2000 Joysticks but none of them work.

I have tried to calibrate them. nothing happens! Do I need to activate them like the CSO?

Thanks

To confirm, definitely the SAIO? (with the pi zero)? To enable the 2nd joystick you'll likely need to update the arduino code (maybe? try that last if the next thing doesn't work).. you need to calibrate by pluggin in both joysticks, turning it off and unplugging USB.. then HOLD START and power on.. the status LED will flash slowly, during this you have 10secs to slowly rotate the joystick..

Yes like I said it's a SAIO Rev. 0.6c with a Pi Zero. I have repeated the calibration process many times. Last time with another Joystick (PSP1000) but with no luck. Which code do I have to upload to the arduino? The last one as described here: https://github.com/kiteretro/Super-AIO/ ... duino-Code ?

Thanks

Yes, you will need to download the code and open with Arduino IDE... then in the config.h file (there are tabs across the top) you need to "uncomment" this line: https://github.com/kiteretro/Super-AIO/ ... nfig.h#L35 so that it does NOT have the "//" at the start, this will then enable the joystick once you click upload :) I obviously made some improvements to this process for the Circuit Sword! I don't think many/any people asked about joystick 2 because the pi zero can't really utilise it for anything :|

So I can't use the Joy2 with a Pi Zero?
Then I don't need to activate it, much less install it. :(
