It seems that I'm having another issue with the board.
It worked for a few hours, than, since I closed the case, it will not boot.

I tried restarting from the electronic test, but nothing seems out of place.
I've unplugged / unsolder the L/R pad, nothing...
I've tried another SD card, but the result is the same : a black screen.
Does someone knows what the problem could be ?

Have you downloaded the specific Circuit Sword RetroPie Image from Kite's github page? If not, that may be your problem. I tried to install just a regular version of RetroPie myself when I first started and got the same black image issue. Thank you for the answer.
I used the specific Circuit Sword RetroPie Image from Kite's github.
And it did boot, and worked for a few hours.
I tried setting up the wifi with the wpa_credential file, since then, nothing.
Even with another SD card and a fresh new image...

Is it possible that the arduino part remember setting up the wifi, fail to do it, and block the boot ?

If you unplug the back board ribbon, and power on with the button, what happens? Have you done a fresh image again? the 'PGOOD' LED which is green isn't on, when booted ok this comes on about 1 sec after power is applied

I tried booting without de backboard ribbon, nothing. I got the same black screen.
The PGOOD Led does not light up.
I tried 2 differents SD cards (that works, I tested them in another Raspberry), with a fresh image each time. I flash the image with Win32DiskImager.

I'm lost... I don't know what i can try next...

The problem started when I tried to configure the WIFI. It was working fine before that (without WIFI).
I read that a wrong configuration may block the boot.
Since then I tried flashing a new image on 2 different SD card but no luck...

Ok cool can you try these next things out and failing that, send me an email and we'll sort out returning it and I'll sort it out

Can you unplug the SD card and take a picture of the SD card holder. What I am interested in are those series of holes on the top of the metal, these allow you to 'see' the SMD contacts that touch the PCB. I've seen one case where this wasn't actually soldered properly! (like no solder at all). So if you can try and take a picture of this, and if you your self try and look carefully and see if it appears to be soldered or not. It should look like all the other components with a slightly shiny molten solder look about them. If they look kinda perfectly square and no solder on the surrounding pads, then that might be something causing this!

Also, can you unplug the CM3 module, clean the contacts on the module gently, and re-insert making sure to apply pressure 'in to' the socket, so that it makes a complete and full connection. (this is unlikely the problem but it's worth doing to rule it out).

It looks like a gold connector is misplaced.
The soldering looks fine to me, but I'm no expert ...
Also, I've unplugged/cleanned/replugged the CM3 module without any changes

Nice pics, soldering looks good, I see what you mean about that gold connector.. i'll need to check later on mine but from the looks of it that could be it. At this point it's probably worth sending me an email and we'll sort out a return.. if you think you have the ability to try and move that connector into place so that the SD card can contact it, that might be worth it (i will likely have to replace the SD anyway)
