Internal screen shows bright garbage after reboot to HDMI

Post by N.I.C.E » Sat Jan 05, 2019 4:47 am

During reboot to HDMI, the internal screen (320x240) looks like it is dying. This is shown permanently until powering the device off. HDMI output works perfectly though.

Is this a normal behaviour?

I have the same phenomenon but I guess this is normal. Maybe something like the internal display is showing the last input signals without further refresh.

Okay then it seems thats how it is at the moment :|
Not a big deal but it would be nice if the LCD turns off or is set to a minimum brightness automatically, could save a lot of power also :D

As I recall there was some arduino code you can edit to dim the screen further, but the wiki is not updated yet. I'm not sure if there is a way to disable to backlight or is lowering further the best option. If someone has an idea on how to disable the LCD backlight I'd be interested in it.

What kind of cable are you using for hdmi out? When I try to hook it to different tvs the game play is slow and the sound is slow as well.
