kite circuit sword boot problem

Post by Boitaklou » Wed May 08, 2019 11:40 am

hello all of you, hello kite,

It seems that my first serious problem with the KITE' S CIRCUIT SWORD have just arrived.
Here is the problem in image:

Image

So, since a few days it is impossible to go further than the screen you can see in attachement.
All buttons are disable except the power switch which is able to power off the circuit.
Same thing with a fresh install of KITE' S RETROPIE on a new sd card without roms, configs, etc ...

I seem to have seen a similar problem here but I do not remember ewactly where. Sorry.
I also specify that I did not touch anything inside and everything seems correct including the insulation of the wifi module.

I hope this is not a hardware failure !

Any help are welcome .... thank you;

Can you show a picture of the inside, on the side with all the LEDs?

ha and i(ve forgotten, there is a red LED under the CM3 which is on too
on the upper side the red an blue LEDS are on, the yellow randomly flashes.
Near the fan (upper left) a green LED randomly flashes too.

Just behind the SD slot between the CM3 module is an LED "USBHUB" which is not on, this is your problem :) could you please remove the CM3 and clean the connector on the module itself, and then re-insert firmly but securely and power on. Perhaps try a couple of times until the USBHUB LED comes on (it's red)

Since this is specific to Kite's board, I'm going to move this to the kit support area. :)

hi kite,

I' ve just seen your last reply kite and after trying 4 or 5 time to reconnect the CM3, the led near the sd card reader is still off.
Is this the led which is just near the CI between the SD card reader et the CM3 ?
ok yes it is ! i' ve seen the USBHUB letters on the circuit board; so this led is off ...
