So I have a bit of a small and strange issue. The bottom left screw that holds the face plate on is stripped. Not bad but noticeable. It still holds the face plate but it doesn't get tight or stay tight. This means the tin doesn't shut correctly (it stays shut but I can tell its not right). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to fix this. I was thinking about testing some brass inserts like what HooleyHoo uses on his Gameboy 3D parts. Thanks!

yeah, something like that might work, I ended up losing a screw on one of my builds. All I did was salvage a screw from a gameboy case. it doesn't quite match, but holds everything in place. (I used the odd screw in the hole near the hinge, so it wasn't super noticeable.

also, is it an issue with the screw itself? or the 3D printed parts below? either way, I think using a slightly different screw will help out.

Some teflon tape might help as well.

Im about 95% certain it is with the 3d part (especially considering I printed them myself). I need to take the time this weekend to take it apart and see if maybe it is something else. I have not tried a different screw yet so maybe I'll see what I can find!

Oh I didnt even think to use a small amount of that! I'll try that tonight.

I also stripped a screw and can totally see how it can happen. I have a set of precision drivers but these screw heads are confusing. They look absolutely tiny but the Philips slot is both shallow and wide, so you end up having to use a much larger screwdriver head than you'd expect.

Plus the screw heads are really soft. I've stripped probably a dozen of them so far. I bought a bunch of spare screws from wermy on the market place.

Put a drop of threadlock in the hole before screwing done... that’s my technique with my rc car when a plastic starts to get stripped...
Do not use red threadlock, it’s so strong that you won’t be able to take screw off...

Well, Wermy is a genius. Thread tape worked perfectly, screw got nice and tight, however that corner was still spongy. I ended up completely taking off the face plate and I found the bottom right corner of the base had come unglued! Added a touch more hot glue and we are perfect now! Thanks everyone.
