I always wanted to print my own action figures, but at college,my teacher brought a 3d printer and printed a sphere, and it had VERY ROUGH edges and textures, how do I manage to print something that has a smooth texture, like the usual plastic figures?

For nice, smooth figure prints you want a resin printer really. They’re a lot more expensive and the materials are toxic, so you’ll need an enclosure and ventilation system, as well as a safe way of disposing of the waste material. They’re nothing to be scared of but they do cost more money all round.
