Re: Help with SketchUp
I did a mockup print to see if it's physically possible to fit the zero in cartridge. The zero seems a little thicker than the available space inside the cartridge.
Also there is the issue of the outputs. As well. I don't have a connector to see the max distance we can place the zero in. Can you share some measurements that I could use?
Thanks
Thanos

Re: Help with SketchUp
I've got a buddy printing me one right now. I know he's finished the bottom and as of two days ago was just reworking the top cause he didn't like how it fit. I should see him either today or tomorrow to get the progress update.
UPDATE: He just texted me saying it's done and I'll pick it up this evening.

Re: Help with SketchUp
A possible solution would be extending the cartridge, but I'm not sure how that would look like placed in the Gameboy..

So this definitely needs to be reworked. I think a good 5mm of height can be shaved off the top by some careful board and screw hole placement. With the current setup, it looks pretty silly in my Gameboy Pocket. I'm also debating cutting the cartridge PCB in half and bumping the Pi down further in the effort for it not to look so comical. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Have you thought about extending the lower end of the cartridge? Since he's not going to use the original Slot you could shove the cartridge as far into the Gameboy as you like.
