640x480 LCD bracket with PSP joystick

Post by timemaster » Sun Jun 10, 2018 5:51 am

Hello, let me introduce my design of VGA LCD bracket with PSP joystick compatible with Kite's Circuit Sword or Kite's SAIO. This design also allows you to slightly slip LCD inside in "contrast wheel wall" to have a picture more centered. It has been based on Kubino's and Hoolyhoo's great designs, thank you, guys.

Any suggestions or modifications are welcome.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for this. I have just sent it to be printed (nylon print) so will let you know how it turns out.

How does this fit with the 320x240 LCD that is standard in Kite's new Circuit Sword pre-order?

It doesn't fit the 320x240 LCD, this display has ribbon cable on a different place that doesn't fit under this bracket.

How big is the hole you need to drill into the front shell for the PSP Joystick to work properly?

You asked this almost a month ago, but in case you still need an aswer:
Judging from my PSP100 stick I'd say 11.1mm in diameter should let you move the stick freely.

I have updated STL in the first post, this has much better display fit and also there is a lot of space for display to be centered manually instead of fixed position which is not good for Chinese cases and inaccurate wall cuts.

Where are you from? I may print you one if it is reasonable in terms of shipping.
