Re: Sub directories
@wermy Another thought I had. A lot of forums that are heavy in pictures tend to have a "spoiler" like button that hides the things listed as a spoiler. People can put their pictures under this, and on a click of the button "show spoilers" all the pictures are loaded and "hide spoilers" to have the disappear again.
This is helpful to allow quick navigation through a post, especially after seeing the pictures once, to get to the text.

Re: Sub directories
@wermy I'm bumping this idea. It would be nice to have
like this or img
that created a button to hide pictures so people can click on them when they want them, leave them closed for faster page load, etc.Kilren wrote:@wermy Another thought I had. Thanks mate. I know you're busy, take your time. Just wanted to make sure that you had seen it from the first time.wermy wrote:Yep, I agree this would be great for build logs. I'll see what I can do.

Re: Suggestions
I agree, video embedding would be nice.
And also, can @wermy (or any other person able to do this, if any) change the blurb text for the software subforum in the board index to remove the typo.
Currently, it says:
Software-specfiic discussion for all projects
Thanks.

Re: Suggestions
@wermy
It seems that because of a poor search engine or lack of effort, a lot of threads are coming up that are duplications (such as the handful of "RPi Available Now!" threads)
Perhaps a sticky with important, MVP, or frequent update and traffic threads listed would be helpful to centralize some of these duplication threads?

Re: Sub directories

So, I have been trying to use the search function to find old posts and it is a horrible experience each time. If you've ever searched anything, I nearly guarantee that you've seen "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words" and then it goes on to block every word you typed, such as audio, "usb audio", and even words like "ds".
Not sure how much power you have over putting in a better search engine, or even getting ours to show results, but anything would be more helpful that the current state.
