New forums great :-)

Post by SudoNinja » Thu May 05, 2016 1:07 am

Hi All,
Just wanted to say the new forums are great, I had so much trouble trying to sign up to try last one.
I hope to see this community grow and can't wait to see what others come up with :-)

+1, the old forum was pretty clunky.
Kudos to wermy! :D

Thanks guys! I'm hoping (and thinking) this new setup will give us much more room to grow. :)

Thanks wermy for setting those up!

the old ones needed refreshing all the time so it "kept" you logged in somehow.

PMs are a huge plus too for the folks that have spareparts to share as posting contact info in public isn't the best idea.

Yep, the old ones were lacking tons of really basic forum features. This feels much better :)

Thanks again Wermy for the new forums. Can you enable "quick reply" please? I miss the functionality where one can immediately type and post a reply. This is very useful especially if you're using the mobile version of the forum

The best option for mobile browsing is implementing Tapatalk.
Doesn't cost anything and very easy to use (and implement)!

I always love phpBB!!
Thanks Wermy!
(your hosting could be a little faster though, but I'm getting greedy overhere! :)

re: tapatalk
If Tapatalk is ever implemented on the forum, it would be really appreciated if the nag popup could be disabled. It's really annoying, especially if you like browsing the forum without it. :D
