Rare VMU's?

Post by Siniko » Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:27 pm

How rare are these VMU's?

I chanced upon them at a garage sale. Owner claims both are working. I have not snagged them yet but he was kind enough to reserve them for me. They seem to be a Japan exclusive. Honestly they got me interested in a future VMU-Pi project. But if they are working (and if indeed they are rare), I probably could not bring myself to gutting them down.

I have little knowledge of SEGA consoles. Only played a couple of games on a Megadrive (Genesis) sometime in my youth.

Any thoughts? Replies would be most appreciated. Thanks.

The red one is a wrestling special edition. Not particularly rare. About as common as the Green Godzilla vmus. The clear one is a Seaman special edition. And I've been looking for one for AGES! You lucky thing!
