Pocket FE - Emulator Issue

Post by carl.phelps1443 » Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:02 am

Hi apologies for the constant questions on the forum, everyone has been super helpful though. I'm fairly new to console modding. I have managed to get the Pocket FE to run fine but essentially only running GBC games. The other Emulators I have tried are the GBA and the SNES, but no luck...... I have even added the GBA bios.

After burning the FE image to the PI, is there any additional setup/updates that anyone recommends?

Can you describe your issue more detailed? What did you try? What are you seeing?

Thanks for the reply, yeah, of course I can, after flashing the FE image to the SD card I load up the pocket FE which starts absolutely fine.

I have then loaded in some GBA, SNES AND GBC roms. And the GBC roms run flawlessly, but as soon as you run the GBA roms all that appears is a white screen, See the picture.

The SNES just loops, for example, I click on the rom and the screen fades back to the rom selection screen again.

Another thing I thought about was to maybe run the roms directly through retroarch but when I open it up to select a core..... There is no cores.

I'm sure it's something simple that I am missing, but I am at a loss.

For the SNES games: I had this issue as well. Sometimes copying files to the SD card failes, i.e. the files are on the SD card, but the size of the files end up to be 0 KB. So check the size of your SNES games. Delete those files and copy them once again. This usually solves this issue.
