Re: WII U RASPBERRY PI 3 FINISHED
I'm trying to get some parts together for a Wii U gamepad of my own and I was curious as to what you got specifically for the DAC, POT, and headphone jack.
That's quite the nice looking project you got there by the way

Thanks for those they will defiantly help when when I build mine.
Do you have the pin layout for up down left right and abxy buttons cable?
You can mix wires as you like all will be read as numbered buttons but GND is important
How did you ID the grounds on both button ribbons? I assume the left ribbon ground would be the larger one. But what about the right ribbon?

Found an answer to my own question if anyone is interested in the pin-out for the button circuits. It's a little crude but it should be helpful to some.IrieMars wrote:banjokazooie wrote:grenade44 wrote:

Helder, are you gonna make a custom pcb for this one as well? LolHelder wrote:Could you post links to the parts you used? Nice work.

Also, are those batteries 3400mAh each?
Great work!

Wow, this looks amazing. I've searched around for similar projects that are using the Wii U gamepad and by far yours is the cleanest build and probably the easiest too. I would love to build this project myself but I'm a novice with electronics and such, is there a chance you could produce a step by step guide? I know I could build this with ease if there was such a guide.
This question goes out to anyone... Is it possible to make the unused TV button into a LCD dim-bright button to conserve battery life? Or even a LCD dim-bright-off button for moments when you pause your game and have to walk away from it for a minute and would like to save as much power as possible?

It is not possible to make this button works with this LCD . Display is using a couple of buttons to move through a complex menu.AmeriCanSIN wrote:Wow, this looks amazing. I love that you were able to utilize a Pi 3. Since you're using the PowerBoost 1000 Basic for the extra output and a separate charging circuit, I'm assuming you can't charge and run the device at the same time, right?

Verry nice job
but for me, wii u is way too big for a portable consol game.
Stick with GBZ
But like i said, verry nice job.
