Mounting the screen controller board

In Part 2 of Wermys custom build video, he mentions using perf board to mount the screen driver board onto the back of the screen.

Is this the same as prototyping boad? If so does it matter that there are copper strips all down one side of it?

The copper stripes go on the other side of the board so they face the screen.

I used 3mm double side tape

Yeah, just put the copper strips against the screen. Also, you may not need to mount it on perf board at all. I've just mounted the driver board to the screen directly on both of my builds.

im using what the manufactorer used, which is VHB tape.... you can get small amounts on ebay and amazon
