Re: Need help with 2016 1Up Chinese Gameboy Pi3 Kit
I managed to get it to boot since I saw the lights on the Pi turn on but nothing showed on the display. I was wondering if the display board needs to be converted to 5V? I dont think it tells me to do this but since its not working maybe thats the issue?
can anyone tell from this image if this board needs converting from 12V to 5V or is it already 5V?

In case you're still struggling to get it assembled, I stumbled across this youtube video with step-by-step instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=WL&v ... pp=desktop

So there's a kit that uses that PiHAT screen? Or this 1up one does? Would you mind posting a full picture of the modded PiHAT?Pirate wrote:Oh gosh I just saw this post and I actually have been keeping in touch with the guy answering every single question and to make this short mine came assembled already and mine came with a HD screen so I guess I got lucky but I did asked him what screen he used and He showed me how complicated it was to modify the controller board to make it all fit.

This is the screen that he used on my build meaning on my future projects i will be using these screens but modifying the screen controller board is no joke sadly.

This kit seems interesting. Is there any availability?
I was thinking on using the Super AIO with Raspberry Pi 3 but to get it here it will cost like... 150$ or even more...
