Absolutely beautiful build. I love that you put the indicator lights in the cartridge. Any chance to get a look inside the cartridge too? :)

Actually nothing special inside the cartridge, i just extended the powerboost leds through the cartridge reader.

I am planning to make a battery indicator on screen using this guide:

update!:

External battery charger

I bought a second battery so I can change batterys when one is empty.
To charge both batteries, I have made an external battery charger.
I modified an original Samsung i9100 charger: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/i9100-Ba ... 97128adebf.
To make the battery fit imoved the pogo pins to the other side of the charger.
Now I can charge both batteries, one in the external charger and the other in the gameboyzero through the usb port of the charger.

This is a great idea and I'd like to try and pull it off as well. Did you have to flip the pogo pins when you rearranged them, or are they in the same orientation?

Because the battery is placed upside down in the charger the pogo pins are mirrored. Left negative, right positive. (Im my case)
Check the wires inside the charger (Positive must be red and negative is black) And match them with the pads on your battery.

That is a really sweet looking piece! Absolutely gorgeous! Can I ask you where you get the pogo pins for the battery compartment from?

I really like this build but dont get how you've modified the battery compartment to fit this.

Crazyfrog, you need to grind either left or right side of the battery compartment just enough before making a hole into it... it's a matter of 1 or 1,5mm lacking to fit the battery...
I suppose that with the pogo pins, we will need to grind both sides to give some loose otherwise you will insert battery and get plenty of pain to remove it.
I got almost all my parts but still waiting for the Kite's SAIO to start the build to be sure of pins placement before grinding the shell.

I got my battery today and did some search on the board to understand how to fit it... look at the photos on first post, you can see that it was slightly grinded on both sides
