The custom cartridge is cool if you want to have different ones with different kind of games instead of getting one of those 2000+ games you are never gonna play. If you're using one of Kites SAIO kits, the micro SD is already moved to the side, making it easily accessible.
However, I guess I read Kite saying that using the PRS custom board with his SAIO cause some sort of signal interferences so it's probably even better to find a better of use for that empty space. Either to use a larger battery or these shoulder buttons are both good ideas.
