Hey folks,
End 2016, self-made handhelds relied more on RPZeros as it was more newbie-friendly and very small and easy to fit in. With Kite's board becoming increasingly popular, there is obviously an increased interest in stripped RPi3.

I have done it in a very simple, yet a bit dirty, way:

It doesn't need any advanced tools, only pliers, leaded solder and a soldering iron. There is nothing innovative in here.
Do you guys think this is a good idea to detail it? I would love to contribute that way. Please be very critical and honest, my experience is very far from a lot of you here.
Let me know.

Absolutely! I was going to grab some chip quik and give it a go myself. I would love to see someone properly attempt this before I burn up a board.

I felt VERY insecure aswell on the first time, especially when you read other forums. I read about chipquick and encountered very mixed opinions, so that's why I grabbed my tools and just snipped the ports.
Sounds like a challenge, but it should be foolproof if you detail everything like you would to a five year old (I can already hear Wermy, Helder and Kite chuckle on that one )
