Unable to connect to wifi
Unable to connect to wifi
Hey, I have soldered the raspberry pi to helders Custom board and set up the screen. I have put the image onto the sd card. However I cannot get the wifi to work. Whenever I try to connect it comes up saying "unable to connect to network" I have tried on several different hubs and hotspots and it still wont work. I have managed to get games onto it through a USB stick but it would be nice to get the wifi working. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Thankyou!

Re: Unable to connect to wifi
Weird, it works for me. I'll give it a whirl from a Windows machine and see if I get the same behavior (maybe a permissions issue or something) - that's the only difference I can think that might cause that.Lphillimore wrote: βMon Jul 24, 2017 9:10 amI found the .conf file on the image never worked. Re: Unable to connect to wifi
It had deleted the file itself but left a corrupt shortcut to it. Odd! Haven't imaged wnother yet to see if it was a random one off.wermy wrote: βMon Jul 24, 2017 9:52 amWeird, it works for me. Re: Unable to connect to wifi
WPA/WPA personal. I have also found out that I can't update or download any new or existing emulators. Not sure if this ties in with the wifi issue?wermy wrote: βMon Jul 24, 2017 8:42 amWhat kind of encryption settings is your wifi using?Harvmck wrote: βMon Jul 24, 2017 7:28 amHey, I have soldered the raspberry pi to helders Custom board and set up the screen. Remove the SD card and check status of your .conf file if possible?

Re: Unable to connect to wifi
As per the guide it's in the 'boot' folder on the root. Look for the wpa_supplicant.conf file and edit it with a text editor to add SSID and password. Then reboot and test WiFi. Should auto connect.

Re: Unable to connect to wifi
I did that before I put it in my raspberry Pi and it did not work. I have since then tried 3 more times neither of them workedLphillimore wrote: βMon Jul 24, 2017 10:59 amAs per the guide it's in the 'boot' folder on the root.
