Can't solder to original GB controller board
Can't solder to original GB controller board
I cannot for the life of me solder directly to the board. I've got the leads exposed and the wires tinned, but they just won't solder to the board. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Re: Can't solder to original GB controller board
make sure you have shaved off enough lacquer from the board (Green coating) and use some flux on the exposed traces and add solder or it. The flux will help the solder adhere better and make it easier for you.

I had some problems with soldering to it, too.PrinceAri wrote:I think I've gotten enough lacquer off, but I haven't tried flux. I'll make sure to try flux! Thanks
But you just have to get enough traces to solder on and heat it enough or it will not stick.
Try heating up the traces a bit more and apply a small amount of solder to your soldering iron tip before.
