Is there a reason you can't rotate the screen 180° and get rid of the HDMI adapter? Then rotate the display in your config.txt

especially with then the button pcb will get in the way....

ahh, there's the rub. was thinking you could just run from a straight hdmi connector, but yeah, space is tight in there.

you can use a cable like this....


or something like this with the adapter that came with the screen



but both will need some unsightly modification done to the rear case....

i aiming for as least butchery as posible....


theres a method to the madness here..... i have thought about various different options...

my version got removed because the original creator got upset i remixed it and shared it back on thingiverse....

i'm not going to be sharing it (its one of the reasons it was removed, he didnt mind me remixing as long as i used it for myself only)....


now hes removed his from thingiverse (thats the link i provided), as he sells the stl file now....
(why he put it on thingiverse in the first place is beyond me)...

Im on the same boat as you .. finished my first gameboy zero a couple of weeks ago . Now im building a gameboy pi 3 with hdmi display .. thank you for all the updates .. definitely helping me with my new build
