Hi guys, got my build finished and made sure the pi works before the final build.
When I power on with the switch:
Screen goes white straight away.
Power led on the pi doesn't light up.
Switch on via usb:
Pi powers on
New screen takes awhile to come on and then it goes dim to black.
Can see retro pi boot but can't see it when the screen goes black.
Thanks in advance
Power issues with pi zero
Re: Power issues with pi zero
Ok I bit the bullet and stripped the connections and just got the pcs pi and monitor and it's not coming on
.
Not sure why the screen is not coming on now. Will try the mini HDMI on the pi

Reimage the SD, test the voltage on the LCD Board using the VCC and GND pads and if it's not 3.3v or close to it it's a bad ground.

Re: Power issues with pi zero
Ok so I have just got the screen attached with the PCB and pi that's it. The reading from the screen to the vcc on the PCB is 1.9 volts how do I fix this?

Re: Power issues with pi zero
Hi, well I resoldered the connections between the pi and PCB and the LCD is working. Think the GND needed some loving.

Re: Power issues with pi zero
Yes all issues with low voltage are bad GND points, I always do 2-3 GND points to be sure it's all good. The GPIO under the "A" button GPIO is also GND so I also add solder to that hole and the one labeled GND on the far right next to 5V.
