Battery from battery pack

hello guys,
does any of you know if you can use the battery from an external battery pack as a battery for the GBZ? Also can I use the charging board attached to it to charge the GBZ (as a powerboost). See image below. Also would I be able to connect both batteries to make a bigger battery of ~5000 mAh? Or am I saying smth really stupid?

Input: DC5V - 600 mA
Output: 5V - 1A

you could use those with heavy modifications to the case and they are rubbish IMHO.

I am supprised if the charge would last more than 30 mins when playing.

You *could* use them as cells - but not the board as a powerboost.

A power boost really does two things - firstly it acts as a load-sharing battery charger - secondly it has a DC/DC boost converter to raise the output voltage from 3v7 to 5v2.

That board will not have any kind of load sharing on it so there is no way to charge it whilst also using it - also the maximum amps it will deliver are going to be too low to be able to power all the things you need (screen, pi, amp, etc) - indeed I would suspect it will deliver circa 500ma - about half (1amp) what the PB does.

Finally - and I can't stress this enough - don't play with batteries if you don't know exactly what you are doing - especially where you are ultimately connecting to mains. It really is the way to injure yourself, cause a fire, etc - please be careful!

yes you can. I have a powers system from usb powerbank and it works like a charm. The battery in there was only 2000mAh, so I just bought 4 14500 (1100mAh)batteries and connected them to the powerbank board. All works. It is charging and it is providing enough power. I am not saying that every powerbank will provide sufficient power. Its trial and error. I had couple of them lying arround so I tried first and it worked...
