No sound

Post by EC2017 » Sun Mar 11, 2018 3:41 pm

I have my sound card soldered on, but I am not getting any sound. I accidentally got some solder in the hole next to the USB pads. Will this cause any issues and how can I get it off?

Your yellow wire is bridged with ground (hole beside it). It will not work until that is cleaned up.

Clean it with some solder wick. Or solder sucker. If you don't have either just drag you hot iron across and try to drag some of the solder off.

As Rodocop says, until its un-bridged it wont work.

I'd start by removing both wires.

Make sure you clean and tin your iron then add some liquid flux to that join and it should clean up nicely.

Re-tin those pads and try again :)

Good luck!
