Minty Pi XL

Post by rodocop » Mon Aug 13, 2018 11:49 am

Hey there, so HoolyHoo released some files a while back for the Minty Pi XL, i recently got some minty parts from Helder and built one. Got one more in the works as well. Pretty cool project!

Files here: https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4446

All the same features of the minty pi, but it a larger space. I was able to fit a 4000mah batter in there, and my second one will have an 8000mah.

The buttons kinda spin in the wells a bit, and I was annoyed with that. So i used a bit of acetone and removed all lettering

Looks nice! I like the look of the buttons without letters actually.

Well, it looks like I already finished a second, these minty pi's really come together fast, this was about 2 hours start to finish. Same as above, it's got Minty Pi V2 parts, as well as a few other goodies. This has 8000 mah battery, which should last hours, it's also got some very nice silicone buttons from Helder, I don't think i'll ever be able to go back to the cheapo China DS lite buttons....I think I may keep this one!

They are so great. Honestly, 100 times better than cheap knockoff DS lite buttons.
