Re: Programming the Teensy
You have to plug in the Teensy, then you should be able to choose a programmer in the same menu where you can choose your port and what kind of module you are programming.
Re: Programming the Teensy
OK I've got that - any idea which one of the options I need? it's not covered in the guide. Options available are:Fleder wrote:You have to plug in the Teensy, then you should be able to choose a programmer in the same menu where you can choose your port and what kind of module you are programming.
AVR ISP
AVRISP mkll
USBtinyISP
ArduinoISP
USBasp
Parallel Programmer
Arduino as ISP
Arduino Gemma
Atmel STK500 development board
BusPirate as ISP
Apologies if this sounds pathetic. If it were a car to fix I'm all over it, programming chips etc I have no idea.

Re: Programming the Teensy
I don't know if this really has any influence, but i always use "AVRISP mkll" and it worked good so far.
Haven't tried a Teensy ++, though.
Only Teensy LC, Arduino Nano and Arduino Leonardo.

Re: Programming the Teensy
Thats the one I've been trying.
Have tried again on an old Win XP machine tonight, still no luck. I can only assume I have a dead Teensy LC, unless anybody else has suggestions? The cable is fine as I use it regularly to transfer files to my phone.

I'm using 1.6.8
Im almost tempted to buy a new one, but if any UK resident would give it a go, I'd be up for sending my teensy to them for a double check? I'm not stupid by any stretch of the imagination, this just seems ridiculous.

Re: Programming the Teensy
I can hold until tomorrow., a guide would be brill. I've ordered another Teensy in case this one is dead. I want to try and get this working before I move onto part 3 of the guide, happy to take my time and get it right before I start gluing into the case haha

Re: Programming the Teensy
Still no luck unfortunately.Fleder wrote:Try 1.6.5
I had problems programming several Arduinos with 1.6.8.
I've got a new Teensy LC arriving tomorrow, and I will give it a go once the guide is available from DirtyBullets. Unlikely to be tomorrow though as it's my birthday and I'll be having a drink or two.
Thanks for your endeavours thus far - I do appreciate it. Lets keep everything crossed that the new Teensy solves it.
