Drill guide

Post by EC2017 » Sat Apr 27, 2019 5:47 pm

My 3D printed drill guide does not fit completely on the Altoids tin. Are there any adjustments that can be made to get this to fit right?

Try different zoom factor in you slicer. Or measure the difference and calculate the need factor. Possibly some try and error need.

In Cura: re-size all tree axis by lets say 1.1 if your result should get bigger.
If you own a calipper: measure the actual size of your print. Than measure the need size of your tin. For each axis!

Example: printed part: 100mm wide.
Mintypi Tin: 90mm wide.

Resulting: 90/100= 0.9
You must shrink your model in Cura by factor 0.9

What would be the best slice settings in both Cura and MakerBot?
