No Audio
No Audio
I have been unable to get any audio from my new build. It will only show a volume level in sound settings if audio device is set to PCM, but still no sound from speaker or audio jack. I have tried adjusting output in raspi-config. Now I am sifting through any files i can find related to audio, still with no luck. I also tried putting the SD in another pi 3B+ to see if i got any audio, still no. Any thoughts?
Re: No Audio
Any ideas on how to check the connections other than visual inspection. It doesn’t appear that there are circuits going to every possible connection under the i2s chip. For example only one wire bath can be obviously seen leading to the right side of the chip.

Re: No Audio
I’m in the same boat. No sound. But I think I have everything soldered correctly because I have a lot white noise and game music is extremely faint, even at full volume. I’ve messed with a few settings but no results yet.

Re: No Audio
I don't even have white noise. Literally, zero sounds. This has been my first Gameboy build and my third pi to deal with. I feel like it has been baptism by fire. I have probably had like 5 significant things that I have troubleshot successfully at this point, and it is running beautifully except for the freaking sound.
Not counting the fact that safe shutdown hasn't been fixed yet, cause I'm waiting for the LV MOFSET to arrive since I accidentally purchased the SV one originally.

SOLVED Re: No Audio
It was the OUTP connection on the AMP chip. I had pulled the pad accidentally. Made a new one with a single fiber of copper. Working perfectly now.

Good to know! I hope mine can be an easy fix too.

Re: No Audio
Any Idea what I could check?
The solderponits of the cables to the speaker are looking good, but I assume since I have no audio on speaker AND Hedaphone I have to search somewhere else.
System audio settings are PCM, Volume 100%. Changing to "Speaker" or "Master" doesn´t change anything.
I´ve looked arround in Raspi and Retropie settings, but couldn´t find something helpfull. for my understanding.
Setting Audio from "auto" to "Headphone jack" didn´t help either,
Help please.
