Will your GPIO Assist - Ultra work with a Raspberry Pi A+ or B+
Also, where do you ship from?

Just noticed I hadn't replied here (though we've spoken since).
As it currently stands, I wouldn't recommend it for a 3A/B+, because it'll get a lightning bolt.
I think that swapping out the inductor (from a 22uH to a 1.5uH), and one of the resistors (from a 1K to 976) should get it to a stable 3A/5.2V, since the other components are rated for 3A.
I've done some testing (with components that aren't quite the right size for the boards) and the results are promising, so in the coming weeks I'll be ordering some better parts to try out.
If that works as expected, I think the Power Assist boards should be a couple of very compelling options for the 3A/B+ boards, as well as the Zero.

I've tried a few things to increase the output but I still get the lightning bolt when running an A+ with a composite or HDMI display. If you're using a low-power screen, like a 3.2in SPI, then it might be fine. I also found that if I had a couple of batteries hooked up in parallel rather than just one then the output was better (so it might be the wiring on my batteries). I'm working on some new prototypes, but at the moment I just can't recommend it for the 3A+ or 3B+ yet. Still works great for the Zero though.
