DirtyBeagles Gameboy Pi2 [95% Completed]
Started my second Gameboy Pi, this time with a Raspberry Pi 2. With the Pi2, you will get some more CPU and memory than the Zero, but you have to have cut it up a little to get it to fit. Here is my progress:

Re: DirtyBeagles Gameboy Pi2
One of things I am trying to figure out is the battery cover. Not really liking the white plastic I put there to close it because it just does not look clean. I am wondering is anyone has any ideas. I tried some magnetic tape on the edges but it was not strong enough to keep it closed. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. I had to remove the clip from the battery cover because of the larger battery I am using.

@dirtybeagles
I'm thinking of a more simple solution by using double adhesive foam like the ones used in 3M Command adhesive strips. See pic below. I hope you didn't throw away yet the original battery cover locking tab bec. it's needed here. Let me know how it goes.

Re: DirtyBeagles Gameboy Pi2
This is what I ended up with and it seems to work well. I would recommend not cutting the latch part as much as I did and using a heat gun instead to bend it around the adhesive tap. Oh well, I already cut it, but seems to hold okay.
Solution to Battery Case with having a larger battery?:

Re: DirtyBeagles Gameboy Pi2
I started putting some parts together on the side because I learned from the last GBZ build that you want to make sure thing fit together nicely and I wanted to start with the small stuff like the USB, the pot, the headphone jack and see how the cables will lay so I know how to long to cut them. On my last build, I found that out the hard way and some wires were not long enough having me redo some soldering.
*For the PCB board here, a forum member named Helder makes them, but he has been sold out and will be sold out for a while I think. Just keep an eye out on his post on the Buy section: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28
Replaced the metal plate with Styrene cutout
*one thing to note here that I am not sure of yet is putting the wires under the Styrene. I want a cleaner look than my last build but doing it this way may cause the wires to get too hot from the Pi2. I do have Polyimide Film Tape that I was going to wires that should help.

Added the wires for the Pot with Helder's all-in-one board:
*my Pot (gameboy volume wheel) is upside down here. I do it this way because it is easier to attach to my Styrene plate.

@dirtybeagles
So, did you use the foam adhesive as I suggested or a different approach? That translucent thingy that you used doesn't seem to be foam and very neat-looking for hot glue.

I used 3M mounting tap for Windows. No foam.chiz wrote:@dirtybeagles
