Best SD card size for retropie ?
I know this is very dependant on what emulators you want on your setup but just out of interest whats the average for putting into a zero build ? would 64gig be a waste ? I'm thinking around 32gig's would hit the sweet spot.

Hi, it's depending on which emulators (number of games for this) you want to store on your sd-card. More space = more games to store.

GB/GBC: 256-KB, 512-KB, 1-MB, 2-MB, 4-MB, 8-MB
GBA: 4-MB, 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB
NDS: 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB, 64-MB, 128-MB, 256-MB 512-MB
PS: 700-MB
I'm personally using a 32GB sd card, because best price/size ration.

I guess this is purely depending on personal preference.
I'm using a 64gb card coz I intend to install XBMC on my GB Pi2 and let my daughter watch movies when she gets bored of the games. Videos can take a lot of disk space so I'm using the max card size I can afford.

Like chiz said, it's dependent what you want to do. GBA is what's going to eat up the most room on a pi0 (can't play almost all psx or n64). I like 32gb. I buy this one, Micro SD, for $10 and I don't worry about space. I currently have 10k+ games so far and probably half full. I'm also only doing emulation (no videos/music etc.)gargoyle67 wrote:I know this is very dependant on what emulators you want on your setup but just out of interest whats the average for putting into a zero build ? would 64gig be a waste ?
