Re: Analog stick
How would you even go about doing this? I can just about wrap my head around basic buttons, but an analogue stick?
What ports on the teensy would it go into and how the heck would you program it?
Idl, I'm entirely new to this and in way over my head but thought I should ask here instead of making a new topic.

Re: Analog stick
ive already got the arduino script done and tested for an arduino leonardo pro micro which is a super cheap version of the teensy if you will so although i havent tested it on a teensy i dont think there will be any problems you will need to change which pins it uses most likely but thats about it but i would recommend just getting the same arduino i have been using there super cheap i payed i think it was like £4 for mine and that was from a uk source if you dont mind the wait you can get one from hong kong for like £1.50 or something.BobzeMovie wrote:How would you even go about doing this? Re: Analog stick
the psp Go has an even smaller and thinner stick (i think). the psvita as well http://www.dx.com/p/replacement-analog- ... 3no4fkkq70

Re: Analog stick
the arduino im using only has a certain number of pins so the psp-1000 one is ideal since it only uses 2 as far as actual data so if there is a psp thumbstick whatever the version that matches this:skrapps914 wrote:the psp Go has an even smaller and thinner stick (i think). the psvita as well http://www.dx.com/p/replacement-analog- ... 3no4fkkq70

then it would probably be possible for it to also work.

Count the traces on the ribbon cable.skrapps914 wrote:i think the others are the same way, just extended through the ribbon

Re: Analog stick
sometimes traces can be misleading. heres a diagram it appears that 2 wires are bridges of some sort. and could possibly be directly connected from point to point, leaving you with 4 wires to solder to the padFleder wrote:Count the traces on the ribbon cable.skrapps914 wrote:i think the others are the same way, just extended through the ribbon

Fair enough and thanks for the clarificationskrapps914 wrote:sometimes traces can be misleading. heres a diagram it appears that 2 wires are bridges of some sort. and could possibly be directly connected from point to point, leaving you with 4 wires to solder to the padFleder wrote:Count the traces on the ribbon cable.skrapps914 wrote:i think the others are the same way, just extended through the ribbon

But you still have to find out which 2 traces to ignore, so the 4 pad one would be easier.
Also, ribbon cables are not that sturdy and easy to solder on. But still you are right about it likely only having 4 real traces.
