Yellow Prevention

Post by hydr0 » Mon May 09, 2016 3:48 pm

Has anyone who de-yellowed their case considered some sort of sealant? I was poking around the interwebs and came across this:

Anyone used/considered using something like this?

I personally wouldn't paint or lacquer my gameboy. The coating is likely to come off on your hands through use. It's also easier to clean bare plastic than it is to repair damaged clearcoat.

I agree. Many of these sealants aren't actually meant to be handled regularly, and they might have unpleasant effects (they might be sticky, for one). Honestly, a case that is yellowed will probably still look much better than one with parts peeling off it. :)
