Update: I have volume from headphones, and the potentiometer works for adjusting the volume. I followed the complete GB0 diagram in another thread that Cannikin made:

Any ideas on the speaker? I already checked to make sure ground and power were correctly hooked up

Hey Metallicis,
I'm also having problems with this USB DAC (we bought the same). Do you have any pictures of the wiring you used on the DAC to help me figure out the correct pins ?

I am not sure what parts you have, but maybe my diagram can help you.
No guarantee though, because i am still not finished and constantly working on it.

Yes, it does. The filter is only for PWM Audio.

I used the above diagram to wire up my USB Dac and it's working but the volume dial only works when headphones are plugged in. The speaker does work when phones are unplugged but there is no volume control. Any thoughts?

Metallicis can you post a picture of the DAC and which contacts are which? I'm running into the same problem and don't know what is what on the DAC.

You can see what is what here:

normally the usb dac soundcard has the 3.5mm jack still on, then after you remove it, it is easy to see what is what using the above picture...

does that help?
