He didn't even start selling them yet.
Welll seems like I got fucked on the atmega chips I bought 100 of. The old 5 I had work great but these new ones don't recognize or program, and I tried everything but the boards only work with my older chips so I'm not sure what to do now since I don't have the chips to finish the boards.

I'm likely going to just refund everyone who payed for one until I have these boards fully working with good parts, I'm going to have to just go with Digikey or Mouser for these and pay more than I wanted but that seems to be the only way to get legit working chips.

Sorry guys but this is out of my hands right now.

I have these 4 but are reserved for a few people and also the only All in one fully populated and working is below (black board).

Helder, you are the man...

I'm with DarkTyrian, I'm not part of the community for long, but would like to thank you for your efforts...
All inputs that I got so far out of this forum will make my life way easier - and for sure your AIO PCB will add to that.

That said, I'm also willing to compensate on your time and efforts once the AIO boards are available.

Thanks again!

Thanks for all the kind words and offer of extra compensation but it's better you guys put it towards the extra needed components for your build. I don't get rich off of this and all money I make goes right back in so the parts aren't hurting me too badly but definitely sucks big time that they don't work.

The seller wants me to talk to Atmel support to see if there is something they can do. Really now what can they do for a part that isn't working when the same part from an older batch does?

For those wondering I hand solder all my boards by myself which is why there is a a day or 2 delay in shipping. I'm talking to a pcb manufacturer for a quote to get them pre assembled so turn around time will be much quicker and I can also have larger quantities on hand so no one misses out.

Hopefully Mouser ships them quick and I receive them by the weekend.

For the 4 boards that are reserved 2 are for the person who asked for that particular board (no hub) and the other 2 go to some lucky people who ordered the Audio board but since I ran out I'm giving them a free upgrade. :)

Must be so tedious to solder all those components by hand to 100 boards. I don't have near the patients or skill for that. I'd be willing to pay a few more bucks without question if it would save you time. Time = money and I really think you should make at least a few bucks for all you go through.

Thanks again and I will wait patiently for the next batch. Luckily you have no competition :p. jk! Thanks again :)

That's total crap. Definitely contact your CC company (or paypal) if not too late (also don't let the seller stall you on this either), they are trying to put the issue on you when obviously they sourced and sold fraudulent chips. The Atmel Atmega chips are highly counterfeited and sold fake as so popular (Sparkfun got burned a few years back and had a good write up on them), so agree with you Atmel isn't going to be able to do much I suspect.

Good news finally, I got an initial quote from the PCB manufacturer for assembled boards and to make the order happen I will likely need about 30 preorders. After I get the final quote I will open a new thread as this one is too big and information gets lost in it where people can pre order. If I get 30 or more I'll go along with the order and if not I'll refund people's money.

You are the man Helder! Big thanks from this guy and I'm sure many others feel the same way! I'm pretty sure 30 will not be a problem!!!

So is your next version going to include the display, powerboost, and microsd card??? lol jk
