[For Sale] GBZ All In One PCB (Pre Orders V2)Sold Out!
Re: [For Sale] GBZ All In One PCB (Pre Orders)
I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I have my SD card that I put emulation station on that I used with my first GBZ, it used a teensey on helder's older board, the red one.
Now with his all in one with the Atmega, I have basically the whole gbz built, but I'm still not getting button presses. I'm using the same SD card for testing.
Question: is it possible I'm not getting button presses because I first set up emulation station with the teensey "keyboard" layout, and now the AIO is a gamepad? Or should emulation station recognize it automatically?
Getting kinda frustrated. I had no problems at all with the teensey, and I know it's something I'm doing wrong because both AIO boards wouldn't be bad and I get no presses on either.
Thanks.

Teensy's programming is stored locally on the teensy chip i believe, so that can't be it.jermzz wrote:Question: is it possible I'm not getting button presses because I first set up emulation station with the teensey "keyboard" layout, and now the AIO is a gamepad? I know it works as I've tested all controllers but maybe you need to reprogram the Retropi with new input. I'm not familiar with the options to do so but someone here definitely should know.jermzz wrote:I have a question hopefully someone can answer. People please stop asking, I'm not taking anymore preorders until I have the current batch boards to ship out. Once I do and test them will I open up another preorder batch and sell off the 25 from this batch and there is no reservations for those.Mazzinator wrote:Hi Helder,

Like I have said numerous time there will be another pre order right after these boards arrive and then you can all get as many as you want.

Ahh, damn. You're right. I totally forgot I had to program Retropie because it considered the gbz a "custom controller." had to tell retro what to do with every button. Retropie would need to be programmed again for the new custom controller, unless it was exactly the same. I feel stupid now. I joined simply for the awesome of what you guys are doing here. Can't wait until the next batch is available for sale, and a big thank you for everyone who has taken time to create these boards.
I have my GB shell and a Zero. Very excited to skip a LOT of wires, haha.

I was just a little curious as to why you put the joystick mount on the side of the xyab buttons instead of the d-pad. Just seems like most people would mount it under the d-pad on the portable to save space and reduce the amount of wire used.
