or you will end up like poor 1461748123 here.
Compare the ICs names with the one from my picture guide here,
if those are the same and everything else is in the same place,
you should be fine with following it.
I've got the same board as you, I soldered a usb to the first 2 points out of the 4 and worked fine off the mains usb. Now I'm trying out my powerboost and now the screen flickers. Here a picture of my setup. I haven't modded the screen. Yes I was running off a 5v phone charger plug. from what I've found i think it does. But I've not been sucessful powering it up yet. Was you running 5v from the mains? can you post a pic of your board
