So the micro usb can be hooked up to charge the battery and use other accessories through the data ports on usb hub? Could i then power the gameboy with a powerbank but without a battery?

I'm assuming you mean "PowerBoost" not "powerbank"...

The Micro USB goes to the PowerBoost 1000c, which yes, the PowerBoost can power the device without a battery present. Other members of the forum have tested alternative boards to the PowerBoost, but I have not diagramed them (and won't)

No, i mean powerbank. Those batteries that charge cell phones and stuff? Like these things. (maybe not this one specifically to power a GBZ but yeah) Reason being i don't want to bring the gameboy zero battery on a plane, but i am allowed to bring a powerbank on a plane.

Since the micro usb is now using data lines to the AIO, that means we can for example plug in an external usb hub like this one?

Can someone make a diagram with the all-in-one board and Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu (Camble's version)?
I would much appreciate it!

When @Camble's board is 100% complete and he releases the Fritzing or BRD file, I'll add it to my todo list.

You can use any external USB power source into the PowerBoost as long as it provides a stable 5v and 1-2 amps. That could be a wall plug or a portable battery "Power Bank".

Try this:

http://www.stufinnis.co.uk/stereotomono.html

omit one of the Mono outputs in that diagram.

I was looking at these links and some other ones I found and they all recommend adding the resistors to line level audio, not the amplified speaker output. So in our case, that would mean between GPIO 18 and 13 on the pi and the PWM0 and PWM1 pads on the AIO. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

How would that work exactly? The reason he wants to combine the 2 outputs is to have a muxed left and right channel into the mono speaker. The speaker will sound like shit without the amp, if we tap into the audio as you say then we're bypassing the filter and amp.

I meant using the default gb switch and 2N5460 P-Channel JFET + 100k Resistor. No need to wait for his board...

Nope. I'm not making that one as @Camble's board makes way more sense than doing the wiring manually. You're welcome to edit my diagrams using Fritzing; it's free and not too hard to use.
