My Gameboy Zero Build with Custom PCBs

My new boards came in and there were a couple things to fix. mainly the graceful shutdown circuit had to be redone with the same part in a different package. I also had to move the pi mounting down a little more because it was interfering with volume control. I did manage to build one up and get it mostly working. The volume is working awesome and the noise in the audio is much better. my original GB card edge connector is lined up perfectly. will be excited to get the next rev of the board. I think I will finally have something i can fully assemble and be just right.

Version 4 boards are coming in, but I'm already thinking about version 5. seriously considering just adding the USB hub IC, and a USB sound card IC and usb keyboard ic... then going with kites screen setup. just need to make sure there are enough GPIOs still available for my graceful shutdown.

SO there are two reasons I'm not offering my main boards.

1. I need to make some minor changes for convenience of assembly. I have done some of this, but have yet to order the boards.

2. It doesnt make any financial sense to offer these boards with the components soldered to them. There are several parts on this board that require advanced soldering reflow equipment to solder to the board.

I'd be interested to see how many people are still interested. Meaning how many people have the ability to solder small QFN parts. If there is enough interest i might offer it as a blank board.

I will much appreciate a picture of your last layout, it would help me a lot - I am currently working on a custom pcb solution for the smaller GBA SP which is proving quite difficult. I don't do this for a living, so my skills (especially eagle-wise) are definitely not at your level
At the moment I can't manage to fit the audio and power on/off circuit and I have thickness issues with certain components. Furthermore, I have to figure out how to limit the power consumption because of the battery size limitations

You should consider selling assembled by manufactor version like Helder do for his AIO preorders

No, I don't want to buy it. I am just curious about where you get your stuff, because who knows, maybe I might build some custom PCB for some other purpose, but don't know where to get it printed or where to buy all the parts at a good price.
