USB Hub won't work

Post by knoffel » Sat Aug 27, 2016 12:00 pm

Hi guys,

i've got a problem with my Pi zero 1.3 and my USB Hub.
My hub (Teensy, Wifi and Keyboard connected) works fine when connected directly to USB, but refuses to work when connected to P22/P23.

Also my Teensy refuses to work when directly connected to the pads.. what could be the problem?
I've made a pic of my soldering when attached to P22/P23. I guess i f**** up my pads or something...

I've checked P23 and the USB leg if it's shorted with my multimeter, bit it seems that there are no shorts between the legs and the pads..

Hi, maybe you can try the following:

- Remove the wires you attached
- Clean the pads and wipe the area around it clean
- Plug in a usb cable and check if the pads conduct using the other side of the cable
- restrip the wires so only a very short piece of copper sticks out (no longer then the width of the pad)
- reattach the wires

Hope this works!
