You are right, I won't give up just have a break and I will take parts off and just do it in bits testing as I go.

If you put the switch between the battery and the power supply board, you won't be able to charge while the GBZ is switched off. Moreso, the GBZ will automatically power up if you plug in the USB cable.Psy128 wrote: Have you put the output + to pp1 and - on pp6 on back of pi if you can send a picture of your work so we can see I've added this drawing hope it helps lol bit old school lol
True that's the other way and the way your doing it is battery charging while playing and when you shut down through menu battery is still charging untill the switch is turned offCamble wrote:If you put the switch between the battery and the power supply board, you won't be able to charge while the GBZ is switched off. Put your switch between the V+ pin and PP1.
Thanks camble for the quick reply, just out at the moment.Camble wrote:@Lpoolm Sounds like you have a short. Can you post a close-up photo of your work?
I have a question. How do I know if the battery is actually getting charged? In my case it does not, but i followed the diagram and at least it worked while the battery had power. blue light is on when i use it. Red light is on when i charge. But i can charge it for 1-2 hours and it shuts down after 4-5 seconds at most. Any ideas on where/how to troubleshoot this?Psy128 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2016 10:34 amLpoolm wrote:i am pulling my hair out, i feel stupid![]()
