Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Hi everyone.

I tried to plug my 640x480 screen with a HDMI to VGA converter, including audio output. I have a picture and I tried "speaker-test" to confirm I can hear sound. But my screen isn't centered, I've big black bands on top and left. I played with config.txt, trying to change overscan but it doesn't seem to have any effect.....
Wich setting could I try ?

hi,
i apologise if i make a mistakes with my English i do my best. I prefer to ask here because there is more information than in french forums.
i would like to know if you see a difference between composite and hdmi to vga connected to the screen.
i begin my project of gameboy zero and the 640*480 screen look very nice but the price make me think twice.

do you know if i can use the audio output of the hdmi/vga adaptator for the speaker maybe with a audio amplifier.

As you can see with my post before yours, I intended to use an HDMI to vga adaptor for my project. And I also intended to use audio from the adapter. Picture was fine. The problem is the size of the adapter. I found two versions :
- the first one I tried to use in my build has a little board but far too long wires
- I found another one on Ebay without wires, but it has a too big board to fit directly connected to the pi

I tried to shorten wires on my adapter, but it was difficult and I broke it... (I'll update my build log yet about it)

So, picture was fine from hdmi but I'll use composite. I can't compare because I didn't soldered yet the composite wire.

Can you tell me where you got the coloured buttons? I was wanting to do the same colour scheme and thought I could use buttons from a super famicom controller but I don't think they are the same size.

, I think it's the same as the one from wankedastore, this one is cheaper though as they don't charge the posting and they also mention that it supports 5V in the description. So what do you think, does it look ok to you? Should I buy this one?

I bought this one. I have not received it yet so I can't say 100% that it will work. I am a little concerned about the controller board size.

This is the one I bought. It's the same screen as mentionned before. The pcb is exactly the same size as the screen. You can make an offer, I bought mine 73$ including shipping.

Guys one more thing that isn't clear for me, Ganreizu and Cannikin mention that it's maybe better to wire the screen board to the powerbooster instead of the Pi itself, but noone mentions the Powerstrip by Helder that Wermy uses to wire his board , why not connected it there like all the other componets? Will it still draw power from the Pi0 ?
