You could get 1 and extra spare cells. Use the battery area and solder the connections to the protection circuits.Zero wrote:You might be able to fit 4 of these batteries in a gameboy case at a squeeze, but no more unless you're a wizard at space management, they're quite large.

Re: External usb battery
You can put an infinite amount outside the case, but inside there's not a lot of space so I think 4 is about the max.
Any powerbank will work as an external battery as long as it provides 5v. Probably best to power it via an adafruit or similar power board using the micro b connector though.
Wouldn't want to try get it on a plane though.
Either way, the Anker one I linked before, I'd recommend people buy just as an external power pack, as the build quality is great. I think it might even get me to use the phrase "Well-Made in China". Most stuff from there is terrible build quality but this is top notch.

Re: External usb battery
Like i said i have a couple batteries. Two of them i bought from random places but my newest one is Anker brand and it is by far the best build quality i have seen. Definitely sticking to that brand exclusively from now on. Supposedly it has this feature where it will identify the correct charging parameters for the connected device and adjust the output so that it charges as fast as possible. Pretty cool.Zero wrote:Either way, the Anker one I linked before, I'd recommend people buy just as an external power pack, as the build quality is great. Re: External usb battery
Yes, agreed. I've got a few Anker products now and they're all well made.
Also I forgot to mention that I meant any 5v usb battery @1amp or better when I said 5v before. Anything under that will probably not even let the pi boot.
