I re-soldered keep-on on pin 8.
Yes, when I short the two grey wires, it powers off the powerboost

Have you tried the just with the Pi, and no screen? If you have Discord, send me a PM. I can respond quicker.

If you have a multimeter, please turn the switch to OFF and measure the resistance between EN and GND on the Safe Shutdown PCB. It should be around 500-1000 ohms.

I just tried with the screen completely unsoldered, it's the same result : pi shutdowns completely, powerboost stays powered.

I found a multimeter and without power plugged and switch off : resistance value is moving a few seconds and stabilizing around 1.9 M ohms. Far not between 500 and 1000 ohms...
I made the same test with power plugged : I've got a zero value, and it's making the powerboost to reset.
What do you think about it ? Maybe it's the point ?

I'll create a channel on Discord tonight (around 08h30 pm, Paris time). I'll send you a PM to join, if you are available of course.

This is far too high. I suspect either the JFET is faulty or damaged. If you PM me your E-mail address, I'll send out a replacement. You can send the other one back if you like and I can replace the component.

OK, thank you very much for your help and sorry for the trouble...
I'll PM you.
Maybe DarylUK could do the same test (he had the same kernel panic) ?

@johweb Don't apologise. It's me who owes the apology. If you do send the board back, I'll re-test it and hopefully find out more.

Any ideas when you'll be rolling out another batch? Would really like one for my build :)

@OrbitalPi Maybe at some point next month. Will have to see how things go with the remaining boards and the BangGood edition.
