But i highly doubt that this display here is 640x480. This is the usual 320x240 case.

Is there any real way of testing once he got the screen? I just received two displays from Amazon seller 'she-love'. It was not the same variant as on the wiki, however.
I received two Variant 6 boards, which normally ship from 'niceshopping', and had no problem running them off of 5v. I clipped the wire and soldered positive and negative wires from a Powerboost 1000c and it worked just fine.
I'll be redoing the solder points on the board with higher quality wire before I put it in the Gameboy since the wire they use is 28-30 AWG.

I end up purchased one of the screens "640x480" screens from aliexpress as well. I'm hoping that you're going to have good news while I wait a few weeks for it to arrive.
The seller has assured me a few times that the screen is 640x480, I still don't believe him.
