Re: [CONFIRMED] RASPBERRY PI ZERO W (WIFI)
i tried mine today but only got the rainbow screen after taking sd card out of zero and putting in zero w.
if anyone has the same problem you need to retropie setup and then update all installed packages.
Took about 40mins on mine? and i never had anything extra installed but now work fine.
*Maybe a fresh install of retropie would have done it but i thought updating would be quicker

Re: [CONFIRMED] RASPBERRY PI ZERO W (WIFI)
I just tried mine and it was the same! I'm not sure a fresh install would work out of the box, I think it is maybe an extra line in one of the files in the boot partition that lets it know what a zero w is. I downloaded the latest image today for some testing on a pi 3, and the download is dated last year. Maybe it needs the update before it will work?

Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

There's a few threads over on retropie forums about this. They're working on a fix
