Re: [Pre-Order] Safe Shutdown v1.0 for BangGood/GearBest/Generic power Supply
I have a problem with the Power Monitor. When Retropie boots up the Power Monitor starts directly after the Retropie Logo is shown. No matter if i plug in a extern Charger the Power Monitor will start when booting up the raspi. My battery is fully charged (4,17V). I even trie to bridge B+ and PP1 to disable the Power Monitor Script but this doesn't work for me. After 2 seconds of booting up the raspi the display turns black.

So I had that issue a while ago, and I though @camble updated the script to resolve that. In the past this is what I did, I received this info from camble:o-prime wrote:I have a problem with the Power Monitor. "In any case, you can bypass the low battery for now by connecting BCM17 directly to 3.3v." (http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 6&start=90)
So once I bridged the 3v pin on the safe shutdown swith with GPIO17 I no longer had the issue. This was a temporary fix, and the low battery warning will never come on in this situation. Camble updated the script and I no longer have those pins bridged and it works fine.
Are you sure you have installed the proper power monitor script? Maybe you installed the one for the powerboost version, instead of the banggood one?
Just my 2 cents, not sure if that is your issue. but something to try out.

Following some feedback from the community, I've decided to reduce the price slightly. The cost of assembly still higher, but the price is now a bit closer to the PowerBoost version.

Can you go into a bit more detail about the square connections or can they be connected either way? on the board they are labeled pp1 and pp6.Camble wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2017 7:18 am=
Wiring guide:
- Octagonal Vin is the positive voltage connection on the BangGood supply.
- Octagonal Gnd is the negative voltage connection on the BangGood supply.
- Octagonal B+ is the positive battery connection on the BangGood supply.
- Square Vout is the positive connection for supplying your components with power.
- Square Gnd is the negative connection for supplying your components with power.
- Circular 3.3v is the 3.3v pin (physical pin 1 or 17)
- Circular On is the keep-alive pin, usually BCM/GPIO22 (physical pin 15)
- Circular Off is the shutdown pin, usually BCM/GPIO27 (physical pin 13)
- Circular Low is the low battery pin, usually BCM/GPIO17 (physical pin 11)

I don't have tracking numbers unfortunately. Even if I did, postage would cost almost half the price of the PCB, and the tracking ends when the package leaves the country.
On the Pi, PP1 is 5v in and PP6 is ground. You connect Vout to PP1 and GND to ground.
